Cellulose electrodes

Details :

The welding electrode is a product used for joining metallic materials, and generally consists of a metal core (steel wire) and a mineral powder coating. During welding, the metal core wire makes up the majority of the metal deposited, while the coating provides protection and alloying.

The SOC 800 electrode is mainly used for pipeline welding.

Coating: Cellulose

Applications :

  • Use for the first pass of steel pipeline welding.
  • Welding in the vertical downward position (recommended) and also flat and overhead.
  • API 5 L AND API 5 X, X 42 , X 46.

Electrodes for low-alloy steels with high yield strength

Details :

The welding electrode is a product used for joining metallic materials, and generally consists of a metal core (steel wire) and a mineral powder coating. During welding, the metal core wire makes up the majority of the metal deposited, while the coating provides protection and alloying.

Low-alloy steels contain, in addition to the elements naturally present in non-alloy steels (i.e. carbon, manganese, silicon), additions of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, copper, aluminum, etc. in variable proportions, but always individually below 5%.
The introduction of these additions into the steel results in certain properties and characteristics:

  • Resistance to atmospheric corrosion
  • Resistance to very high temperatures (creep resistance)
  • High and very high yield strength
  • High hardness and resistance to certain forms of wear
  • Resistance to low and very low temperatures.

Welding fluxes 100 and 110

Details

Fluxes 100 and 110 are used, in conjunction with S1 and S2 Mo wires, for welding in pipe mills, gas cylinders and in mechanical engineering.

Applications :

  • Flux 100 is recommended for sheets over 15 mm and for welding spiral tubes.
  • Flux 110 is recommended for sheets from 5 to 20 mm and for welding spiral tubes with single or multiple heads.
  • Both types are also recommended for welding ordinary and low-alloy structural steels for pressure vessels and normal construction.

SG1 and SG2 welding wires

Details

SG1 and SG2 wires are copper-coated wires for gas-shielded arc welding. Manufactured from steel complying with DIN 8559, they are equivalent to the same quality wire defined in NF A81.311 and AWS A5-18.

Applications :

  • SG1 and SG2 wires are used with shielding gas (CO2) for welding unalloyed steels, tubes, vehicles, etc.
